PDFwalla is built to keep your documents private. Most processing happens in your browser, which means your files are not uploaded to our servers for core tools like merge, split, compress, and convert.

Information we collect

• Basic analytics such as page views and feature usage to improve performance and UX.
• Device and browser metadata (approximate location, OS, viewport size) for debugging and optimization.
• Advertising identifiers required by Google AdSense for ad delivery and reporting.

Information we do not collect

• Your uploaded documents or their contents.
• Passwords inside protected PDFs.
• Payment information (PDFwalla is free to use).

Analytics

We use PostHog to understand which tools people use and how we can make them faster. Analytics data is aggregated and not tied to your documents.

Advertising

PDFwalla uses Google AdSense. Google may use cookies or similar identifiers to serve personalized or contextual ads. You can learn more about Google ad privacy at https://policies.google.com/technologies/ads.

Security

We design tools to keep your files on-device whenever possible. If a server feature ever requires upload, we will clearly indicate it and protect transfers with HTTPS.
